National Adoption Day

Today is National Adoption Day. It's, of course, very meaningful for me because adoption brought Petunia and me together as a family. My sweet and spicy girl is the light of my life and my greatest blessing... even on "those" days. The unexpected gift that I received through adoption was a wonderful group of friends, including so many that I've yet to meet in person.

I think of all the children and potential parents who are still waiting for their opportunity to find each other, and pray that they all get their chance at family and happiness.

This is a photo of my little Petunia in the orphanage, waiting for me to bring her home. I still get teary when I look at that sweet face.
