Petunia had to create a family tree for a school project. I think she did a great job... with just a little help from Mom.
Petunia likes owls and has them on her backpack and lunchbox, so it was decided to use owls to represent the family members. The tree seemed a little bare because of the fact that she has no siblings, only one parent and two grandparents. That's when we decided to add Greta to the mix, although we allowed her to be represented by a Scottie dog (because she is one) and kept her on the ground. After all, she is part of the family, too.
The tree trunk is a tracing of Petunia's hand and arm. I think it turned out really cute. I cut out the tree trunk and the dog, and she put everything in place, glued all those leaves on one-by-one and labeled everyone. She's actually the one who found the leaves in the store. I was just going to suggest felt circles or something. She insisted she'd glue all those things on, and she was true to her word. She absolutely loves crafts and different kinds of art. Me... not so much, but I think it's way more fun when I'm watching my sweet and spicy girl enjoy herself.
